Who we are
Destination India Restaurant and Bar (“we”, “us”) operates this website at https://destinationindialafayette.com. For privacy questions, contact us by email at destinationindiala@gmail.com, by phone at (337) 534-4848, or in person at 5503 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503.
Information we collect
- Mailing list. The email address you enter in our footer form or pop-up. Optionally, a phone number if you check the SMS opt-in.
- Catering inquiries. Your name, email, phone (optional), event date, guest count, and any notes you provide.
- Site analytics. Aggregated, cookie-less page-view statistics via Plausible — no personal identifiers.
- Admin access logs. Session data for staff members signing into the admin panel (magic-link email login).
We do not collect payment information on this site — online orders are processed by our ordering partners (Clover, DoorDash), each with their own policies.
How we use your information
- To send you promotional emails (new menus, seasonal specials, coupons, festivals) only if you subscribed.
- To respond to your catering inquiry and plan your event.
- To understand which pages are popular so we can improve them.
- To operate the site (serve pages, keep the admin panel secure).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers. We do not sell your data.
- Supabase — database + authentication
- Brevo — sends our emails and stores mailing list contacts
- Netlify — web hosting
- Plausible — privacy-first analytics
How long we keep it
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Catering inquiries: up to 24 months from submission, then removed unless you've become a repeat customer.
- Analytics: aggregated indefinitely; no personal identifier to tie back to you.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your record (we'll honor it unless we're legally required to keep it)
- Unsubscribe from emails — the one-click link in any campaign does this instantly
